My whirpool dyrer just stopped working. One day it was working the next day I put clothes in the dryer pushed the button and nothing happened. How can test to make sure it's the dryer and the not the socket? I don't want to purchase another dryer if that's not the problem

You will need to use a volt/ohm meter. If the dryer is at fault just repair it because they are about the easiest appliance to fix. All you need is a meter and a few hand tools.
