I have been married to my husband for almost 9 years. We have three children ranging 7-11 years. He wants to change his name on the house deeds to that of his daughter of a previous relationship so that when we get divorce I will not be able to claim anything that he has. He bought the house whilst we were married but did not put my name on the deeds because he said that I was not british. Later in the marriage he told me that he did that so that I will not be able to get anything and that I am going to suffer. Whenever we have an argument he would tell me to leave his house. He once bought one of his girlfriends to the house whilst I was pregnant with our last child and told me that if I am not happy with the woman being there, I should leave but the woman is not going anywhere.

He can't kick his legal wife out of the house, and you could probably get half or all the house in the divorce settlement, since you have raised 3 children. Putting the house that he bought while married to you in someone else's name probably won't affect your rights to part or all of it, but you need to talk to a solicitor about that right away. If you are armed with knowledge, a lot of his fear tactics won't work anymore.
One problem with houses though is that many right now are worth less than the mortgage people owe on them, so depending on how much he owes, it could be a tough situation for both of you. Tough enough that he might think twice about divorce.
