I had sex with my husband the 5 th day of my period (I usually have a heavy flow that lasts long). So the next day I woke up and my period was gone( I was pretty sure my period would last at least 2 mOre days but it didn't ) I did take the emergency contraception pill right after we had sex because we typically use the pull out method( I know it's not the safe way to go but we have already gotten used to it) so I was wondering if I can get pregnant or did my period end due to the pill I took. Thank you for your help! It is greatly appreciated

I don't know anything about that pill so I can't answer that. But I do know how a woman's body works after having 6 children myself. You can only get pregnant when you ovulate. You normally ovulate (an egg is released and waiting to be fertilized), and when you do not get pregnant you menstruate to release the lining in the uterus (the lining that would have maintained the life of the growing fetus). Upon finishing your period the average woman will then ovulate again in approximately 2 weeks, repeating the cycle. There is no way you would ovulate immediately upon ending your period. So you could NOT get pregnant.
I encourage you to read and learn how your body works. It is really just Science and it follows a pattern. Once you understand your body better, your mind will be always at ease because you will have the knowledge of how it works :-)
