If the father did not pay taxes to the federal government from 2006 and is now having his paycheck levied by the government, what are my rights to get child support? Maryland states I can't get my child support because the government gets their money first. As much as my sons father owes in taxes I may never see a dime. Is there a way to get child support even though the father owes taxes that are levied from his wages?

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread. This can lead to confusion. So I've moved your question to its own thread.
Unfortunately, MD is right, the tax levies come first. However, his support obligation continues to accrue. So once the tax levies are paid, then you start receiving. It doesn't matter how old your child is to collect arrears. That may be small comfort, but it's the law.
