A couple years ago I dated an ex co-worker, "Nick" about 6 months after his divorce but it didn't last cause it was too soon. I Am still friends with other co-workers though and have have seen Nick a couple times. Last time didn't go so well since I had a little too much to drink. Then I was a little y when he tried asked me out for a drink a couple months after that. It was a Bad year. Recently A mutual friend, Tim, has said Nick "thinks the world" of me. And I just saw Nick at a happy hour and he gave me the biggest hug but had to leave right after I got there. But 10 minutes later he sent Tim a text saying to give me a hug because I am "too awesome" I have always liked him and thought maybe our timing is right. But when I have texted him he barely responds and he has not initiated either. Did I read too much into our last meeting? I want to tell him I still care about him and I am sorry for being childish and mean last year. Please help :(

Leave him alone. He is obviously no longer interested. If by chance he is let him contact you.

It's not in their words or their friend's words. It's in their actions. If he wanted to be with you he would try.

If he thinks the world of you and thinks you're awesome AND is interested -- you'll know.
It's as simple as that.

So learn those lessons about childish/mean/drinking and apply them to someone who is open to you in the present.
