How do I fix my laptop keyboard and mouse that will not let me type

It depends on what exactly is wrong with it. If it is a matter of the right drivers then you could use an external keyboard and mouse to navigate and install new drivers. If there is a problem with a physical connection then your best taking it in for repair. Laptops can be a pita to take apart and reassemble.

You have mentioned in the post that both the keyboard and mouse on your laptop computer is not working.
We can try few steps which might resolve the issue-
First step is to remove the battery of the computer and the power cable. Then press and hold the power button for 15 – 20 seconds.
Then release the button and start the computer. Let's see if that helps
Also if you have an external mouse or keyboard you can connect it on the USB port of the laptop and check if you are able to type something.
