I met a man over the Internet. We have started seeing each other. He is 28, married & divorced 3 times. He was in the service, applying for post traumatic stress disability. No job, lives with his parents that he said are worthless and doesn't want me to meet.

I am 22 year old college student. I was in an accident 2years ago which left me a paraplegic. I live at home with my parents currently, but am planning to move out to finish college next semester.

My new boyfriend doesn't understand why my parents want to know where I am and who I am with. He doesn't like that I have to be home and text my parents when I plan on coming home. He said they are controlling me. We fight about it all the time. I am miserable at home now because I just want out and want to keep this relationship.

My parents think he is controlling me and he thinks they are controlling me. What advice do you have.

Move out if you want, but don't think he is ready for a relationship. Come on 3 divorces before 30??

I think he wants you to move out on your own so he can get away from his parents. I hope you don't fall for that BALONEY.

It's understandable to me that your parents want to know that you are safe.
Sounds to me that he no longer wants to live with his so called worthless parents and is looking to you to put him up.
Has he proposed where and how you will live, since he has no job and you are finishing your education?
Sorry, he sounds like a bit of a mooch with commitment issues.

I think he's trying to control you.

He's been divorced 3 times... think about it. Once... ok. Twice... maybe. 3 times by the age of 28? I'm going to guess that maybe he is the problem and not the women he was married to. This all sounds a little risky to me.
