View Full Version : Paranoia about being pregnant

This might be silly, but I want to ask anyway: Has anyone else ever had sex and then gets paranoid about being pregnant even if they use a method of birth control? My boyfriend and I ALWAYS have protected sex (spermicidal condoms), and he always pulls out when he is ready to *** and finishes outside of me. He is extra careful to make sure nothing has leaked out or that the condom hasn't torn.

My peroid is due any day now (my cycle has changed itself in the last couple of months thanks to the high amount of stress I've been dealing with), and my boobs have been sore since last week, and I've had the occasional cramping the last 2 days, but my period still isn't here. Almost every time we have sex, I suffer this crazy paranoia (like right now), that I'm pregnant. Does anyone else ever get this way? I know it sends my stress level way up on top of everything else. And if you have this problem too, how do you deal with it?

No you aren't alone. That ANY time there is penile insertion there is the risk of pregnancy. You can reduce the risk, but not eliminate it.

So the bottom line is if being pregnant scares you, don't engage in sexual intercourse.
