Me & my family have had this dog since she was 6 weeks old and unfortunately my mom never properly trained her, so she never had it in her mind that she had to use the bathroom outside, until someone would find the poop or pee in the house (hours later), and then (if I'm right about dogs and the fact that basically if you don't catch them in the act they don't know why there getting in trouble) one of the adults at the time would spank her and put her outside for at least 30 minutes if not longer with her not knowing why she's out there.
Now I'm an adult, engaged and about to move out of my house I would like to take my dog with me (because my brother had been saying as soon as I leave he's going to "throw her over the wall") but I need her to be potty trained for where we're living.
I'm not moving until mid September and I was just praying that maybe there is someone who knows a trick or 4 that could have her at least cage trained by then.
Also my grandma has started taking her outside regularly but she just sits by the door and wines like she's being punished or something, (Probably because that's how she feels) and very rarely if ever does she go to the bathroom out there.
And most of the incidents happen in my brothers room. He's also the one that's mean to her so I think she does it on purpose.
