My ex husband technically has primary custody of our son. Howeer, at the beginning of this summer, he brought our son to my house and dropped him off for my weekend and hasn't come back yet. This was 3 months ago. He's come by and seen him 3 times since but never to take him home or to dinner, nothing. I am also still paying child support which is causing me to not have enough money to buy food, pay the bills and put gas in the car. He starts school in a few weeks and I can't afford his supplies and clothes. I don't know what to do.

What does "technically has primary custody" mean? Court Order? Something else?

Have you gone to Court to end child support? If not, go tomorrow.

You don't "file for abandonment". You file for a modification of the custody order and a modification of the child support order. You can use abandonment as grounds for getting these things,
