My husband and I had been separated for 4 years. And we have 3 children together Last year he had a baby with another woman. We have reconciled this year. 3 weeks after his daughter was born he was served with child support papers because the baby is on government asistance. She does not let him see the baby only if it's a supervised visit by her. He did the DNA test pays child support faithfully and we added his daughter to my medical insurance through my job because she is on government insurance (medi-cal). 1 week after the we received the result he filed for custody. The mother has no job and a total of 4 children and my husband is the 4th father that she has, she is on government asistance for her whole family. My husband and I have 2 great jobs and we currently are the sole providers for his daughter. We have our own home with enough room for her too the baby as of today is 7 months old his mediation date is this fridayour final court date is August 21.What are the chances of getting Primary custoday or at least some visitation? Please help
Thank you

Most likely no you will not get primary custody, you have failed to show the mother unfit, being poor and being on government assistance is not a reason to lose custody.

Is there at least good chance that he gets at least 50% joint legal custody? That's what he truly is trying to get. He wants to be apart of the babies life

Of course! I cannot see a problem about it.
