Father has had sole custody of his child since infancy because mother was abusive to child, served prison time and probation in State A. Child now 8 years old and reported false confinement in a bathroom by mother in another state last year on a visitation in State A. Now mother convinced court in State B where father and child use to live to have sole custody. Father has 1 week to file custody where he and the child has lived for 2 years in State C. Can he regain sole custody again?

I have a fridge, she has a knife, we like eating pork. Who eats more?
There is something unclear or hypothetical there. I still cannot understand which state has jurisdiction over the case- B or C.

Where is the first child custody order at, it is that state that has jurisdiction unless it was moved. The non custody parent can not move it,

But can father regain, of course, they always can, if it if, and if they are even filing in the correct state.
