View Full Version : Reasonable notice

My landlord brought a plumber into the condo I rent in Arlington VA yesterday. I have known about some plumbing issues for several months but when I tried to schedule for the plumber to come they wouldn't schedule it because they needed access to the unit below mine and had not heard back from them. Last week my landloard left me a voice mail that said they needed access last week, when I talked to the assistant she told me it would have to wait until they made contact with the unit below. When I asked about the entry while I was gone the landloard said the assistant had arranged it. So I knew they needed access soon, but I didn't know when they were coming. Does 'reasonable notice' to enter my unit not include a specific date of entry?? I feel violated.

Knew there was problems, knew plumber was coming one day that week, OK may not be exact, but seems reasonable,
Normally they give you 24 hour notice unless your lease requires more. Or some will give notice that during the week of >>> they will be in doing repairs. There is no requirement for you to be home.
