Hello Everyone,
I'm back with another problem. I think my puppy got ate up by ants. What kind of ant I really doing know but when we take her out to potty she like to lay in the grass and play. I will attach some pictures for you all could see the bites. I have a couple questions regrauding these ant bites. Is there anything that I can get to clear it up? Can I buy something over the counter for the bites? These are some side view picture and under the mouth pictures. So that you all could see the picture. These are the pictures that I took today. But she had those bites for about a week now. So I need some advice on those bites and what can I use for them.

First, try posting your puppy questions in the dog forum, you will get many more relevant answers, many people check those boards religiously.
If they were ant bites you would see them all over her, are they confined to just her face?
From looking at your photos I can see that there is already one place that is open and other places that appear to be raw. Left untreated they will get worse because when they bother her she is going to rub them, scratch them, whatever she needs to relieve the discomfort and that can lead to a nasty skin infection.
I could only guess at what it could be, it may be a pyoderma, or a reaction to something that she has come in contact with.
From simply looking at your photos I would say she definitely needs oral antibiotics which you can only have prescribed by your vet.
Just a side note, it may be the position she is lying in, but her collar appears a bit snug, make sure you can slide two fingers underneath it and keep it checked often while she is growing.

Her collar is very loose. So I just wanted to know what it was. I will take her to the vet this Friday and get it checked out.

Another thought I had is her food bowls, are they plastic or metal?
An allergy to the material the bowl is made of is possible if she eats out of a plastic food and water bowls. It doesn't happen often from what I've seen but it is possible.
BTW, not trying to be a smart*** about the collar, just looked snug in the pictures.
No offense intended, I just see it often, the puppy grows the collar doesn't, at times it's hard to see that growth when you look at the pet every day, because it is so gradual.:)

Some of my cats break out if I use a plastic water or food bowl so we switched to a metal water bowl and give food on paper plates.

Do you have fire ants in your yard? Normally, ants wouldn't bother a dog.

I treated my dog for ant bites with

Later apple cider vinegar
Witch hazel
Benadryl
1-2mg/lb of body weight 2 times/day

This should stop any swelling the rest should clear up on its own.

Yes I does have fire ant in my yard. I live in an Apartment complex. So I try to resolve walking her in the yard or field so that she wouldn't get into the ants. So now I walk her in the street instead of the yard.

So what if you does have the Witch hazel what can I use in the place of that. I will attach a picture so that you could see where the bite are. Because the bites are in her face around her mouth so I can still us that to help clear the bites up. How should I put that on her? So get me step by step on how to do it so that she could get her hair back.

It may be an allergy, and not ant bites. (I've never heard of ant bites causing something like this.) Vet?
