If you have a debt with ICBC from an impaired charge and they have not filed suit nor has any payments been made on a 76,000. Debt for the 6 year statute of limitation period, can they still try to recover the debt after the 6 years is up. So I have made no payments and they have initiated no lawsuit and the statute of limitations is up and I would like to petition the court to stop them from any further action to recover the debt as it is past the statute of limitations therefore they can no longer restrict my driving privilages as a result of the debt because that constitutes collection action after the limitation period. Can I do this?
