I have a kenmore side by side frig and the wall that separates the freezer and frig is very hot only in the front and the top part of freezer... what could be wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong with it, but the coils could be dirty and if not washed out it's "good-bye compressor." The hot gas line leaving the compressor is routed around the freezer to prevent frost, but when it gets too hot it can indicate either the refrigerator is under a high load or the coils are dirty. You will have to unplug it and remove front kick plate and rear cover. You will be able to see the coils and the fan. Spray both down (keep water out of motor) with cleaner and wash off with sprayer on water hose and vacuum up water. You can remove the fan blades to clean them; it's just a stamped nut holding the blades on. Only water and soap will clean it right. Do this every six months to save your compressor and lower electricity use.
