Hi all,
I could have sworn that when I was in elementary school I saw a movie on projector in the late 70s or early 80s about a Mexican or immigrant kid who befriends an old man. The old man gives the kid a job, and he's able to help his mom out and buys a truck or some kind of toy for his little brother. Just as he and the old man are getting close, the kid had to leave to go somewhere.

Does this ring a bell with anyone?
