Prombelm started with outside unit freezing over as well as the inside return air unit. Unit was still coming on at this point. Called someone to check freon they determined the circuit board was burtn up. I was referred to another AC man came out verified my circuit board to the return air unit was burnt up. He brought a circuit board back to install, which was different from what was installed before. He connected the circuit board and now nothing is working. Luxor AC man said he did not like the variable speed return air units and left to do some more research why nothing was working. This was four days ago he is now where to be found can't reach him at all.
So now I need to finish this hook up myself. Please HELP!

It sounds like your inside unit was dirty and nothing else was wrong. When the inside coils are dirty, along with the blower fan it drops the suction pressure (the larger copper line) and it will ice up. A lot of technicians hate to clean the unit because they have to remove the inside coils and blower fan and pressure wash them after spraying the parts down with alkaline coil cleaner. They are usually not trained or equipped to do this, although they should be because it's the most common need. They just want to install new units and watch your unit go down due to dirt. They are becoming more scam artists than real technicians and I hate it. You need to find someone else and look at the coils yourself. Look at the side where air enters the coils. If it's more than 1-2 years old it needs cleaning.
