Anyone else had problems installing the newer (May 2012 version) Moen posi-temp cartridges? Moen changed the composition of the plastic body of the cartridge from a softer whitish plastic to a harder beige plastic. It's a tight fit to begin with and the newer, harder plastic cartridge won't flex or bend slightly to facilitate the install. I called Moen to complain and they said they would pass my complaint along. Meanwhile, I'll be scouring local plumbing supply retail stores to obtain the older, more flexible cartridge (even thought I loathe paying for parts that I could obtain from Moen for free, if they worked!). I actually broke one of the newer cartridges trying to install it; luckily I was able to remove it.

All of our new fuacet bodys still come with the white cartridges. I have received some of the greys when ordering replacements, and I must say, they suck. Are you sure they have completely switched over to the greys? Moen has been a great product for many years, so I hope they don't mess it up with an inferior cartridge.

I haven't had problems with install of the greys, but just about half of them have been fualty from the factory, cuasing leakage from the get go.
