I have been having several problems with my water heater. I have replaced both elements and thermostats. Because they had shorted out. After I did those things the power to the water heater keeps cutting out. The cirquit braker is not tripping its just loseing power. My water heater is on a time switch which I have replaced as well and its still not working. What do u think my problem is.

The upper thermostat has a reset button that may be faulty. Try replacing that and see if it doesn't help, Good luck, Tom

The question is, where are you losing power. Are you losing power to the water heater itself, or are one of the themostats not sending power to the elements? Check for actuall voltage coming into the top of the unit, and if you are losing power there, go to the break that supplies the heater and check for power there. You may have a faulty breaker, even if its not tripping.
