I need to work at a place where I have to wear a tampon so I don't leak discharge and I need to know if it safe or what the risks are if I wear a tampon while I am newly pregnant just for 1 night. I really need to work just one more night but I have to wear a tampon but I don't know the risks to my unborn baby if there is any. Please help

If there is any chance that you may be pregnant, you should not wear a tampon. They can introduce new germs into the cervix. One night of work isn't worth the tradeoff. I would suggest that you forego the job for the safety of your baby.

The risks are definitely not worth it. You can talk to your doctor about it, but I can almost assure you that they will say the same thing. They can cause health risks to you and your baby. One more night of work can't be worth the risk.
Hmmm, interesting line of work I am sure.
So far, everyone is correct in that the risks associated with tampon use during pregnancy is not worth the job.
Tampons are supposed to be sterile, however, once you open the tampon the applicator is no longer sterile. Also, it depends on how long you wear the tampon, you do not want to risk toxic shock syndrome which can not only be fatal to the fetus, but to yourself as well.

It certainly is not a good idea to use a tampon when pregnant, because of the risk of infection, it is not worth risking.

I had the same question for the same reason. I'm a stripper... I'm sure she most likely is as well. The way we have to position ourselves for dance moves and how much effort it takes during our stage performances and private shows causes discharge flow to be a little more. Wearing tampons keeps our outfits clean throughout the night and avoids us unwanted forms of attention during performing. :)
