I am on probation for a 5th degree drug possession. I have 8 months remaining on a 12 month sentence.. with no other charges I violated my felony probation by not reporting. If I go out of state an am picked up on this warrant, will the time I'm held out of state count towards my sentence and come off the 8 months I have remaining, even if I fight extradition in the attempt to eat up time off the 8 months ?

You totally misunderstand you don't have "8" months remaining, this is probation, not parole. On probation if you have one day left and violate they can make you do the entire 12 months.
So they may make you serve 12 months. Yes the time in lock up waiting for a hearing normlly counts.
