Hello. I'm 27 year old, female,I'm single but I married a divorced man. I'm having trouble on how to budget my expenses and earnings, my spouse is an airline mechanic and I'm a registered nurse in a long term facility. He's still paying child support and sending his 2nd son to college. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. We don't have kids and I'm supporting my widow mom with her meds. Our basic needs was compromised due to this expenses. I paid most of our bills and the rent, I realized that its not fair with me, we don't have savings in our own, except his 401k. I talked about it but he got upset because its just showing that I am a material lady and all that matters to me is money.. but its not.. I just want to manage our earnings and expenses. Our married life has been rocky in past few days because of our finances. We hardly pay our bills anymore and we have loans.
Is there any particular percentage or formulas to contribute fairly?
Please help me..
