My seven months old lab puppy doesn't pee unless she is off the leash and sometimes that is hard because she can run away and there are tons of cars.I am taking her out in the garden by the leash and I am staying with her for like 20 minutes and still nothing. The problem is that she started doing it in the house.Do you have any piece of advice which might help me with this problem.I am kind of deserate.

How about purchasing a flexi-lead. You can get them at any pet store, wal-mart... any store with a pet department.

Its an extra long leash that retracts into a handle.. It'll give her the sense of being off leash, but you still have her under control.

You can also purchase a runner (if you can) and tie her out.

Another thing that may work for you would be for the invisible fence. If trained correctly, dogs do very well on it.

Some dogs are very private. You have a private dog.. however; she still needs to learn to potty outside. When you come back in from outside, and she hasn't done her business, than she goes in the crate for 15-13mins and you try again. This routine is to continue until she goes potty outside. The worse thing you could do is to let her run free in your home without her going potty outside. So if you don't have a crate, purchase one.

Crates are not evil cages we force our innocent little puppies into. Crates are a training aid to help with situations like this. My dogs love their crate.. they choose to sleep in them at night and during the day. To make the crate a good thing, try feeding her in it.

Good luck!
