Yes, I just installed a Wilkins 600 and set the pressure at 80 lbs.
It only holds for a few hours, then goes up to 180 which trips the relief valve.
Can you help me.

Hi Steve

Did you have a pressure reducing valve installed prior to this? If not, then that is going to be your issue and in addition to the new PRV you'll need to plan on installing a new EXPANSION TANK near your water heater. Here, your PRV is acting as a check valve and the thermal expansion created at your water can no longer expand into the water main and back into the city/town water system.

If this is a replacement PRV then I would have you dial the pressure back to 60 PSI and see if that helps... otherwise, the new PRV is defective or the old PRV didn't have a built in check valve and now your new one does. In this case, you'll either replace the new PRV or again, install an expansion tank at your water heater (google expansion tank under images).
