My 13 & 14 year old are in Long-Term Foster Care & they would like to come live with me. I'm wondering on how do I go about this? As you see I'm representing myself & I would like to know all the information & I go about the proper / right procedures. If anyone can help me I'll be so thankful. Oh I live in Alberta, Canada & my case was under Saskatchewan, Canada. Any information & / or links would be awsome. Thanks

You need to find out what the terms are for you to get them back then follow them to a T.

Normally they do not come back, unless you already worked out the reasons they were taken.

So when they were taken what was the legal documents taking them, and what requirements were for getting them back.

Without an attorney I would be doubtful it will happen, sorry but these are hard issues and without attorney very hard. Have you looked for some legal aid, or attorney that may do it free

My MIL is a CASA with the court system. Foster children are not given back to birth parents at any certain age, as a matter of fact, many are adopted. Why? Because the biological parents did not follow the rules set forth to get the children back.

Why were your children removed? What conditions were put upon you to get them back?
