Hi, everyone, I am thin all over the body except my belly. It seems my belly is the only place that can easily store fat on. I started weight lifting and then a cardio for 20 min after that, the size of my belly starts to shrink, however I didn't put much muscle on my other body. If I stop cardio, I can put on some muscle however the fat on the belly don't go away.
Can anyone tell me how to lose belly fat and put on muscle meanwhille.

There are various foms of stomach crunches that work quite well for reducing belly fat and promoting muscle. If you are going to a gym, I am sure a trainer can show you some of them. One I use intermittently is while sitting I contract my stomach muscles, in and release, repeat as many times you like, can be done while driving a car, sitting at your computer to strengthen stomach muscles. Just get a good rhythm going. Good luck.:p

Ckeck how many calories your eating per day, women should be @ 2000, men 2700, reduce by 500 calories or 15% per day. Check what your eating, 1-2% milk products, low fat, low sodium cheese and low sugar yogurt increase fat breakdown in fat cells, use 3-4 serving per day. Bake or broil lean meat. Use olive oil, canola oils, spreads and cooking sprays. Learn how to read nutritional labels, and stick by the "one serving/portion size", like in meats it's 3 oz, small yes, but you can readjust. Smaller servings means less calories, There is only one way to lose fat in stubborn areas and that's with a correct diet , aerobic exercise, abdomonial training and weight training. Aerobics is a great fat burning secret, but you need more than 20 minutes worth, the workout doesn't have to be hard core, walking around the mall counts, as long as your moving, your burning fat, working out the whole body will give you better results, training the abs everyday will tighten/tone the muscles but it will do almost nothing to remove the fat. If your having a hard time losing those last few pounds, keep up the protein and decrease the carbs intake, especially late in the day and night. Abdominal fat loss is 50 exercise and 50% nutrition. Men should have @ 2700 daily carie diet and women @ 2000, keeps track for a couple of days of what you eat and see if your in this ball park area, and then reduce your calories by at least 15% or 500 calories per day. Cut out high fat, high sugar products, like cake cookies, candy fried foods, fast foods and seconds. Smaller portions mean less calories. Eat veggies, fruits, 1-2% milk products and look for low fat, low sodium cheeses, low sugar yogurt, even frozen yogurt (check the labels), instead of icecream and other junk food. Cut out white flour products, choose wheat bread, pastas and rice. Cut out processed foods. Eat nuts and seeds for munchies but again with nuts and seeds the serving size really counts a serving size of nuts is 1 oz, the size of a fistfull. Cut out all sweetened drinks, or soda, if it has high fuctose corn syrup in it it's a big source of calories, drinks losts of water. Small changes will help greatly!:)
