So me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 4 years now... and I am not really happy... I pay for almost everything... when we do hang out it's always when and where he wants to... (which I end-up paying for)... he works a full-time job and pays no bills but a small car note... but is always asking me for money...
He has never brought me anything (a birthday gift... Christmas)... nothing! (but I have brought stuff for him) He is always in a bad mood about something... everything I say to him he gets defensive and mean towards me (whenever I try to talk things out with him).
He has cheated on me several times ( so I do have trust issues), we don't really talk much... and when we do it's about him asking me for money etc...
I find myself catering to his every need and get nothing in return... I feel very drained... used... unappreciated... and unloved in this relationship...
I have tried taking breaks from him... but he contacts me 24/7 non-stop until I speak to him... I have tried talking to him about these issues... but he say's I am nagging him and insecure... recently I have pulled back from paying for everything and either have him pay for just himself or pay half of the bills...
I know that my actions add to his behavior (because I can be a push over at times) but I want to know what actions can I take or change within myself to get the respect I deserve from him and to make him be a man. We are both in our early 20's...
