I always pay my mortgage before it's late and within the grace period. Is it harassment when the bank calls me every day until the payment is made?

So if it is due on the 1st, and late charges due on the 10th then you are saying you pay before the 1st ? OR are you paying on the 5th or 6the
If it is due on the 1st, they may start calling on the 2nd if it is not paid. It is suppose to be paid on the 1st. The date late charges are added is not the date to pay before, it is the actual due date.
So may guess is you are not paying before the actual due date,

As noted, your payment is late when its past due. It is not past due when you incur a late charge it is past due one day after its due date.
That being said, if you never have incurred a late charge, then its really a stretch to dun you for it, but the lender is within their rights.
I can say that I pay the same way and I've never been dunned by any of the 3 institutions that have serviced my mortgage.

I don't think its harassment if they calling and remind you to pay. I think that it's a great idea that they call you rather than sticking you with late charges everymonth. Since you know they going to call start paying before duedate

One bank I deal with calls if I'm one day late but the others don't ever call but they do charge that late fee.

Please don't post on the legal threads unless you KNOW the answer. Guessing doesn't help anyone.
We take great pride in our answers here.
I do agree that it is not harassment "if they calling" to remind someone to make the payment. I don't see that anyone is being called BEFORE the due date.
