After 3 years. The lienholder without me knowing added the cosigner to the title.
The title and registration and all payments have been in my name for 3 years. My ex who was not on the title. Called the bank and went to Dmv to get his name added. He then came to my place of employment, took the car and all my belongings to his house where he locked the car up and removed the wheels.
We were both on the loan, but I was the only one on the title and registration.
I understand if the bank was going to make a change, but would'nt some kind of notice be provided to the person on the title and the person who makes the payments. I think the lienholder can execute that, but I would have to sign a power of attorney ot a new title application? The police looked at my original title and registration and took the car back. I think he might have forged my name to get his name on the title? My state is Indiana.. btw
Thank you for any help!
