Can't get the clip to go in. Help please.

Open stem to let air and water out of the body of the valve, then push cartridge all the way in.

Will get you to a installation guide for replacing a Moen cartridge. You can get a new cartridge from Moen for free call them at 800-289-6636,

Doesn't seem to do it still - think there must be some subtle differences between the 1200 (what is originally there) and the 1225 (the one Lowe's, etc. said is the replacement for the 1200) and/or the clips they gave me. Uggghhh.

It really doesn't tell you much except
Push the cartridge straight into the valve, making sure that the ears of the cartridge are lined up precisely with the retaining clip notch.
