I recently noticed that my big toenail on my right foot has stopped growing. I have nail polish on all my toes and my left big toenail has grown out, but my right toe nail is still at the nail bed when I first painted them, well over 2 months ago. I have also noticed that there is pain between the cuticle and knuckle when I put pressure on it. My toe does seem a little bit swollen. I just wanted to know if I should seek medical attention for this?

This has been asked before - growth varies by sex (male or female) and age. Nails, both hand and feet, grow on the average 0.1 mm each day (or 1 centimeter in 100 days).
If you are concerned, consult with a Physician. Damaged toenails continue to grow, by the way. They don't just stop growing.

Hi,
Toenails grow very slowly . Infection at the nail bed can make the growth even slower although growth does not stop completely. Since you have pain over the nail bed (which is between the cuticle and knuckle) and the toe appears somewhat swollen, there is every chance that you do have an infection.
Consulting a dermatologist will help.
