First - we use the carat symbol "^" to represent "to the power of." So you're asking about factoring 729+8x^6. Note that there are no common elements here, so nothing to factor. You could show it in slightly different form, such as 3^6+2^3x^6, but that's not really factoring anything.

If you know the (x,y) coordinates of two points one the line, then the slope is the ratio of the change in y coordinates divided by the change in x coordinates. This is called "rise over run," is often designated by the letter 'm', and is equal to:


m = \frac {\Delta y}{\Delta x} = \frac {y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}
