My mother and I have lived in a rented first floor of a house for three yrs with no problems. About a year ago my landlords daughter moved into the basement and has been harassing us ever since. We pay for the drive way and backyard. We do nothing in the backyard because she walks in,throws away all our things,looks in the windows. We have no privacy at all. Now she is saying we can't have our family over because she doesn't like them. Has even threatened to call police. She has taken all our cleaning supplies we had in the yard for herself and its just an aweful situation. My mother has a heart condition and the stress is making her sick. What can we do besides move which we really can not do at the moment. Please help.

If your property is being stolen you call the police, Next what is curtains for, so she can not look in the window, that is what happens in a shared house.

So she calls the police, laugh at her, it is not against the law.

Tell her to call the police. If she does, its likely they will tell her to behave. Have you talked to your landlord's about this?
