Denise, could you give us more background so that we can give you more accurate advice? Knowing the puppy's age, breed (or size), diet, previous training, previous forms of correction, and if there have been any changes in the animal's environment (even if they seem minor to you) would help narrow down what might be causing the problem and the ways to work through them.
If this is a very sudden change, you might want to start with a trip to your vet for a check-up. Ruling out any health problems is usually a good place to begin.

He is trying to mark its territory, if you have any other pets it will p on there bits and bobs as well, I not a expert but have seen a documentry on it , and if the puppy is being loved to bits by you it's a protecting thing and natural behaviour but needs to be nipped in the bud , a little disipline would not hurt and a loud clap or high pitch noise if you ever see pupz do it will put a horrible noise and the association of its habit together and... u get the idea or looking at it in another way maybe needs more time out to wee outside and if you can praise the pup for p in outside it will realise bad indoors treat if I do it outdoors... thats what I saw anyway hope all goes well

It trying to mark its territory, if you have any other pets it will do it on certain objects to mark that its his, if you giving mr pupz lots of love it a protection thing , I saw a programme on it and if you see dog do it a loud clap or high pitch noise will make it stop and then lead the dog elsewher straight away , and if you see pupz wee outside give praise and a treat, and it should reverse the behaviour as it gets a bad reation indoors and a great one outdoors, or it could be a nervous thing , or simply needs more time outside , I not a expert though denise but if it does it in front of you try the loud clap or high pitch noise and lead it outside if poss and when it wees praise and a treat, check out with a expert but it is only correcting a issue hope all goes well
