That's all explainable by the lack of installed drivers and main software, that should've been on an attached disc, coming with the laptop.
In case you lost it, I suppose you can get all you need here

Cheers.

Hi
My name is Prateek and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell.
As mentioned you are not able to access internet wirelessly and your webcam is not working properly,
I would suggest you to mention the model number of the computer so we can assist you in a better manner; still there are a couple of steps you can follow that will fix your issue. In order to fix the web cam problem I am providing you a link you have to copy the entire link and paste in internet explorer and then press enter you will get a option to RUN after that follow the instructions.
ftp.us.dell.com/monitors/Dell_SX2210-Monitor_Webcam SW RC1.1_ R230103.exe

In order to fix the wireless connectivity issue we have to install drivers for the wireless card and we can do this with the drivers cd which you may have received with the computer or else if you can go online on a different computer try to follow these steps ː
1) Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States] (http://dell.to/uIo3ef)

Open this link and then you have to put the service tag in or else you have to select the 3rd option and you have to select your system type.
2) After that you will get a option of operating system type and you have to the select the version of windows which is installed on your computer.
3) After that you will get a list of drivers which are available
4) Click on network to install wireless drivers.
5) You will get a option of download next to the driver which you have to install please click on that , then you have to select For Single File Download via Browse
6) After that you have to click on run and follow the steps
7) Restart the computer after that and hope fully that will fix your problem.

Thanks
