My car got towed from my assigned parking stall yesterday. The complex where I live has a contract with a certain towing company to handle issues with unauthorized vehicles, but my car was taken to an outside/private tow yard. Supposedly, a tenant from this same complex called a tow truck and claimed the vehicle was parked in their stall and with NO PROOF my car was impounded. My landlord was contacted and still we have received no more information nor have they released the car to me.. what can I do?? Can I sue the complex? And the person responsible for the call?

It doesn't sound like it's the complex's fault, so I don't know why you'd sue them... But, I'd certainly include the towing company in your lawsuit.

Who told you about this? Did you get any info. From the company that took the car? Is it possible the car was simply stolen?
