What is the law on.a.24 year old seeing a 16/17 year old in.the uk

As the age of consent in the UK is 16 then you are legally fine to do whatever you wish, although I would ensure that the 16 year old's parents accept the situation.

There is no problem dating, but to date the 16 year old will have to have parents permission.
