I am going to have an addition on the main floor ( 12x 12 ft) and renovation.
The addition of the room will have a forced heating and add a bathroom and electric washer and dryer.
The house is 2 1/2 semi-detached house with a forced heating system and 100amp service.
I have the following in the house.
-a gas stove on the main floor and a electric stove on the 2nd floor
-an electric washer and dryer
-2 TV, 2 computers
-2 microwaves
- 2 freeze (22.4 and a small freeze)
-finished basement - 2 washrooms - central AC
Please advise me to install 200amp? If 2nd floor addition is planned.
Thank you.

I need to know the livable square footage of the existing home, and the square footage of the proposed addition.

Also need to know size of central AC unit, watts, amps, BTU's, something.

My sense is that a minimum of 200 Amp service is needed, perhaps more depending on the square footage.
