My Father left me some assests in Iran. It is what I have inherited from Him.
I am going to Iran to liquidate my entire inheritance and bring it to U.S. It is about 300,000 app in U.S. dollars. Will I be taxed on It? W#hat is the safest way to bring this Money to U.S.

There are NO transfer or inheritance taxes in the United States, and since the estate is in a foreign country, estate taxes do NOT apply.

However, the fact that the money is in IRAN may make transferring the money difficult due to the sanctions currently being levied on Iran. I suggest you visit your bank and discuss this issues with them to determine if the money can be wired from Iran to your bank accounting the United States.
