Hooking up 30 amp 4 wire generator cord to house main box. My main box has 2 hot 120v each and one grounding bar for white and copper grounds in the house..
I understand black and red go to the 2 pole breaker but white and ground go to the grounding bus bar ?or do I leave one off?
Thanks murrfy

No, do not leave anything not connected.
Since the neutrals and equipment grounds are all connected at one bar in the Main panel, this panel should have the main Breaker in it, and this is the only location that neutrals and grounds must be connected together.
The neutral and equipment ground from the generator should connect to the neutral bar.
Check your manual for the generator itself, it may require a ground rod to ground the frame of the genset.

And I truly hope you are not just installing a backfeed breaker!
You had BETTER be using a main breaker interlock or transfer switch!
