I am new here. I am starting to get frustrated with my civic. It is a 92 dx with 1.5l and 5 speed. I was driving it the other day and it died and would not restart. It cranks but the fuel pump does not come on and there is no spark from the ignition. When the key is turned on the left cooling fan comes on and stays on. I have replaced the main relay, replace the battery cable ends, cleaned and tighened the ecm ground at the t-stat housing, checked all fuses(with test light), and ck cap and rotor. I think I have a ground problem but I can not figure it out. Is there anything I am missing. Hopefully it is something simple. I really like honda cars(my daily driver is a 96 accord with 260,000 miles and runs great with no problems)but this one is being a real pain. Any help would be apperciated. Thanks

The ck eng light does stay on all the time with the key on. I could not get any flash codes. I removed the pcm and took off the cover and found the capacitor was burned. I saw similar pictures of pcms with the same problem. So now I guess I will look for a pcm thanks for your assistance.

Pcm what does it mean? I am having the same problem with my 93 honda civic 5 speed manual but the diffrence is no lights on dash board and no power to the fuel pump

jca2000, check the ignition switch for wear, pitting, or melting.
