Ok so I'm new to this and figured I'd give it a try so I'm in middle school and I really like this girl. But I don't know if she likes me or not. What should I do or how can I find out if she likes me? And should I ask her out and be straight forward or take it slow? Please feel free to answer or ask questions I will be more than happy to answer them.

Best to straight out ask her out. If she doesn't... suck it up... don't feel hurt by it... and keep looking. Otherwise you sit and think to the point of planning your entire life together... only to find she doesn't even like you. Like the socially awkward geeks that every school has.
THe guys that get the dates don't take rejection personally. It's a fact of life everyone has to learn to deal with... and the earlier you do the better.

You don't have to... say something like... I've seen you around... and I thought I'd like to get to know you better... or something that would be natural for you.
I didn't know my wife at all when I first met her and asked her out the first time for example... all the women I previously dated... (dozens) some I knew... some I didn't before I asked them out.
Some will be honest and say they aren't interested... have a boyfriend.. or something like that... just say something nice like "well my loss for being too late,", "nothing ventured, nothing gained" something like that... even if she is dating someone it might sour and you made a good impression she will remember... and who knows... just don't expect it to happen.

What if u want to ask her in private and it's rare to get her by herself?

Two possibilities... #1. wait for the right moment... or #2 do it with her friends around... that does take a lot more balls.. because depending on what kind of people her friends are... the potential of ending badly is greater. Trick is not interrupting... and timing is more important.
But still timing does matter... if you sense her being testy... or in a bad mood... save it for another time.
And keep in mind... I do not view private as completely alone... or with no one in earshot. Just not in a group of friends engaged in some type of discussion.
Expect the possibility of being shot down... which is why its best to not prolong it too much... the longer you dwell over doing it, the worse its going to hurt if she says no.

Basic thing here... if you think "I like her"... and you ask her in the first few days... and she says no... it doesn't hurt too much... but if you spend a few months thinking about her, and trying to get the nerve up to ask... and then she says no.. its going to hurt a lot worse...
And if you never ask anyone... nobody gets a chance to say yes.
Kind of like ripping off a bandage from the hairy part of your arm... hurts like hell if you go slow... but if you yank it off quick... you suffer less.

All I know is: You miss 100% of the shots that you don't take. Don't fear rejection. I personally believe that I regret the things I never tried, or the times I never took a chance, but I still have never regretted going for it.

DUDE .I just asked a similar question about a guy maybe we can help each other.See I like this guy a lot but I can't seem to get him interested and I don't know if he likes me so my advice is just say calm and talk to her and don't freak her out tell her how you feel and hopefully she'll feel the same.GO DUDE U CAN DO IT!!
