I have a car that will need over $1400.00 in repairs just to make it able to pass a Texas state emissions inspection. Then it will need another $1400 to get the rest of the fuel injectors repaired. I heard there was a program to help get the car inspected but can not find anything on this. I have a 2002 nissan quest. And live in a county that requires emissions inspection. There only 12 in Texas that have this requirement. But you must get the car inspected in the county in which you reside. Please help

First of course an issue where a car that is only have a value of 4995 needing about 3000 in repair, if you should sell it and get something different perhaps.

This page tells you about waviers and the state programs that are available.

Thanks chuck, the information you provided was what I was looking for.
Unfortunately, it will not help. You either have to be below the poverty level for the state to give you an low income extension or apply for a time extension and fix the car. We make just a bit too much to qualify for the one using the poverty level and I can not afford to fix the silly thing.
I appreciate you checking this for me. Again, thanks
