Had my electricity off to my water well pump and someone opened the water valve on the outside of the house and now I do not have water, I know I probably need to prime the pump, but do not know how. I have to pumps in my well house and I have a large black plastic container and I have a stainless steel container.? "? Not sure what to do

I'm doing a little guesswork here. Sounds like you have one pump that pumps from the well into a black storage tank, probably some sort of filter. You then have a second pump that pumps from the storage tank into a pressure tank, possibly the second container? At any rate, one of the pumps will be connected to the wellpipe. That is likely the one that needs priming. There should be a plug or even a pressure gauge screwed into the top of the impeller cage. Unscrew that, then fill with water until water overflows. At that point, the cage should stay full of water. If it does, then screw the plug/gauge back in and you are good to go.

This video will be useful to you. Ignore the part about priming the well pipe UNLESS you also have a check valve like the one he describes at the top of the pipe. Also ignore the part about charging the tank with air.
