Our computer had a shut-down and since then Microsoft Outlook and also Outlook Express no longer removes messages from the Outbox to the Sentbox. Messages must manually be deleted from the Outbox or they will be resent again and again. Some people have gotten up to 5 duplicate Email messages from us before we could manually delete the Email from the Outbox.

What could be the problem and how can we fix the problem and prevent it from occurring again.
