Just found this site and thought I'd post this question..

Im having a problem with our kitchen sink and hot water pressure..

We had a Moen faucet that came with the house (3yrs old), single. When sliding the lever left for hot water there would be a vibration and the water would be cut down to a trickle..

I thought that something was wrong with the faucet itself as no other faucets in the house show any signs of this problem.. I replaced the faucet with price pfister shown in this link http://img158.imageshack.us/img158/1319/prd11rod157400344haydpgm7.jpg
But the problem is still present..

Any ideas as what the problem could be..

If the problem is only in the kitchen sink and you have replaced the valve then the fault is in the supply. A tiny stone or pebble has got into your hot water system and is now lodged in the seat of the angle stop on the inlet of the valve where it''s first vibrating and then shutting off the flow. The solution would be to shut off the water at the angle stops and disconnect the hot water supply. Hold a can up there to catch the water and turn on the hot water angle stop for a second. If the flow's still weak then the fault's in the seat of the angle stop and you'll have to shut the house down and remove the angle stop and flush the branch out. If the stream's strong then you'll have to open up the valve and check and clean the inlet ports on the cartridgte. Good luck, Tom

Sorry Im not real knowledgeable on this subject.. am I to shut the hot water off under the sink, disconnect the hose that leads to the faucet, then turn on the hot water for a second to check flow?
