Can I connect my washing machine waste pipe into the toilet waste pipe? It is the nearest possible place to discharge my washing machine now I have movedit into the garage.

Yes you may, providing you vent the washer trap. If running a vent up is too much of a hassle consider installing a AAV, (air admittance vent, see image) downstream from the washer trap. Good luck, Tom

Tom, the new code no longer allows this because of the shallow trap on the low flow toilets. Any fixture discharging from a pump or motor [washing machine or disposer or dishwasher] must be connected at least 10' downstream of any unvented fixture. By unvented I am referring to any fixture that is using the main as a wet vent.
[side note] if you have a 4" pipe then it is unlikely that the pump or motor will affect the toilet, but it still will not be code compliant.

Thanks Doug,
I got to take my code book down to the building department and get it updated or just purchase a new one.
