Alien movie where two boys and a girl are making a movie for school I believe. The girl's dad is a drunk. One of the boys' has a dad in the military. There is a scene where a black scientist/doctor is laying on a table and the military is demanding information. He tells them he knows what the alien wants because it touched him and he understood. They end up killing him. The military sets a fake fire and the town is being evacuated. The boys go looking to find the girl that was taken by the alien after her drunk dad yells at her and she runs away. Dad chases her in the car and crashes. I don't have much other information than that at one point the kids had an alien rock... and the alien is underground and had abducted some of the people.
