I had been together with my girlfriend for almost a year but then she decided to end it. I love her very much but since then all we have done is argue, I found myself getting gradually more depressed and the only way that I could pick myself up in the slightest was if I spent time with my friends as I could always count on them to cheer me up.

All of my friends said she just walked over me so I decided to stand up for myself, however in the process I lost all my friends as they thought I was being out of order.

I now have no-one, no friends, no girlfriend and almost feel as if there is no point in me sticking around anymore. I need help and advice on how to pick myself up and meet someone new, please?

Replacing her is not the answer, but building a life you enjoy is. You may feel you have lost your friends, but you must have a balance of friends, activities, and family to be hapy with YOURSELF.

So why would friends say you are out of order? Maybe an apology is IN ORDER! Explain please, and how old are you?

Hi Ryan,

I went through a similar situation about 2 months ago however there was a baby on the way involved, and I tried to commit suicide due to the depression, I was made to feel like an absolute arsehole and failiure in life by my ex, her family, and our friends and it seemed like my best option out. Believe me it isn't, all I can say to you is to do something to take your mind of it TRY to meet new friends rather than looking for a new relationship and to be honest finding new friends is harder than finding a new relationship but with time it shall come!! Just believe in yourself man and hang in there:-

The way I saw it was that I had hit rock bottom!
NOW I SEE IT AS
Things can only get better from here on in!

If you want to ask anymore questions I am more than happy to tell all, as I know how it feels to be where you are and its bloody horrible.

Hang in there buddy

Andy
